I created this series to give a little life to objects that seem to hold memories. Without words, they quietly symbolize that they have witnessed the passage of time and history.
About Artist
Kaede Lyu
Kaede Lyu works under the artist name “kaedeco.” Based in Toyama, Japan, she is a fine art photographer whose work explores memory, humor, and quiet storytelling through carefully composed imagery. She graduated from Kansai Gaidai University and spent a year studying film and photography at Portland State University in Oregon, USA, as an exchange student. After graduation, she returned to Toyama and worked as a photographer at a local photo studio for three years. Later transitioning into education, she is currently working as a high school English teacher while actively pursuing her career as a fine art photographer. Awards include Nominee at the Fine Art Photography Awards (2024) and Nominee at the reFocus Awards (2025).
