About Artist
Joe Wakefield
I'm a mountain bike and events photographer based in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. Originally from England, I relocated to Squamish to immerse myself in the world of action sports and pursue my passion for mountain bike photography. Surrounded by some of the most dramatic and diverse terrain in the world, I’ve found a deep connection with the outdoors and the communities that thrive here. Today, I’m proud to call Canada home. My work focuses on documenting and telling the story of the MTB community in British Columbia and beyond. From local events and grassroots jams to world-class freeride competitions, I aim to capture not only the action, but also the atmosphere, the effort, and the personalities behind it all. Through photography, I strive to showcase the incredible landscapes, talented athletes, and authentic moments that define the culture of mountain biking.
