Julia Kochetova
Julia Kochetova, 31, photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. Born in Vinnytsya in 1993, raised in Kyiv. Ukrainian, reporting from Ukraine now. Game-changer, troubled daughter, and sometimes punk. Mohyla School of Journalism (UA) graduate. As a freelancer, covered Maidan revolution (2013-2014), the annexation of Crimea (2014) and Russia-Ukraine war (2014-now). Presented by Adobe Lightroom and Fotografiska, contributor for Der Spiegel, VICE News, Zeit, Bloomberg, LOB’S, Vanity Fair, FP, The Guardian, Reuters, NBC. She is capturing the ongoing war via visual diary and truly believing in firsthand storytelling. Focused on the issues of the war generation, post-traumatic stress disorder and feminism.
