The natural sweetener Stevia (1 - 4) and caffeine powder (5) dissolved in  water, then crystalized on a microscope slide and photographed through a polarizing microscope, produced shapes resembling a saw-toothed monster (1), a fish (2), Snoopy (3), a fire-breathing dragon (4) and fireworks (5).
