Jordan Tiberio is a photo-based artist living in Brooklyn, NY. She began making photographs at the age of 15 in her hometown of Rochester, NY; a city rich in photographic history that helped inform her visual vocabulary & understanding from a young age. She has coined her work as ‘the odd in the ordinary’— where mundane, everyday objects and landscapes come to life in beautiful displays of light and color.
She has shot for FILA, Urban Outfitters, Steve Madden, The New Yorker, Inc. Magazine, Vox, Everlane, Teen Vogue, Refinery29, House of Aama, Suzie Kondi, Self Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Nanette Lepore.
As an alumnus of YoungArts, she worked extensively with the foundation and the photography award recipients from January of 2016-2022, in Miami, Los Angeles, and New York City. Her work has been exhibited in Europe and North America. She is a recipient of the Macy’s/Gordon Parks Foundation Scholarship, and has gone on to teach photography to high school students at her alma mater, The Fashion Institute of Technology.
She has been an artist in residence at the Chateau Orquevaux Residency in Orquevaux, France, and a guest resident at Woodward Residency in Ridgewood, Queens. She will be an artist in residence at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Spring 2024.
