Monia Marchionni is a Italian photographer graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 2005. In 2008, she gained a degree from the Literature and Philosophy faculty of the University of Bologna with a specialisation in History of Contemporary Art. After a period dedicated to Installation Art, she chose to continue independently the study of photography; it is a language that allows her to stage stories which make her visions real. The look is authorial, the style recognisable, the approach that of stage photography. Her photos have been published on Musée Magazine, Vogue, Gente di Fotografia, Rolling Stone-Black Camera, Contrasto, Perimetro, Photolux Magazine, Eyeshot Journal, SkyTG24, Studio ApertoTG, EyesOpen! Magazine, Il Fotografo Magazine and much more. She finalist and winner of many international photography competitions and awards such as: The Independent Photographer 2021, Arturo Ghergo Award 2020, Life Framer 2019, Marco Pesaresi Award, Lucie Foundation Awards 2020, IPA Photography Award 2019 and 2018, SIPA - Siena Award 2020, FAPA Award 2020 and 2018 and much more. Monia has exhibited in London, Berlin, Paris, Dubai and around Italy; she has been invited to international art fairs and photography festivals such as: Format Festival 2021, SIFEST 2021, MIA Art Fair 2022. In 2021 she published her first photographic book: "Fermo Extra Ordinary Visions" by Giaconi Editore, Italy. The Author is dedicated to long-term personal projects and creative commercials.
