I am a fine art photographer conceptually documenting my life using the medium of photographs.
Beyond the aesthetics of photography alone, I am very interested in creating a context which I can self reference as needed, to understand my self better.
To this end, I have been interpreting my experiences using loosely held palettes and tones . These are primarily shaped by the friction incumbent within wanting to assert an aesthetic, and the more obvious but subconscious aspects of self expression, that comes with inhabiting a medium such as photography.
Since it's increasingly easier to make an image, with the outward expression of an image manipulated by underlying codes and algorithms, I am very interested in the confluence of photography and generative art, with each informing the other. I am currently working on a generative art collection informed by the aesthetics of my photography. By discovering the dominant expressions using algorithms, I can then use them as digital assets to shape the narrative of the generative art mediums.
In the series, 'Locked Down' are a series of photographs captured and processed over the last two years; my life was tumultous and challenging, both because of the socio political impact of Corona as well as personal tragedies and setbacks.
While each photo has meta data corresponding to the time it was taken, I prefer to see it as a loosely organized project expressing my emotional undertones and capturing the need of self expression during a challenging period.
Each photo is available in higer resolutions and is suitable for print in all kinds of formats and mediums.
