About Artist

Amanda Albanese

Amanda Albanese was born in Providence RI in 1982. She attended Flagler College receiving a BFA in Fine Arts and a BA in Psychology in 2005; Pratt Institute receiving a MFA in painting, 2009; and Maine College of Art receiving an MAT in 2017. With over fifteen years of art teaching experience Albanese has brought unique art making experiences to a wide demographic of youth and families. Albanese is currently a high school photography teacher in southern California where she spends most of her creative time making music, painting, and recording the landscape and environment that surrounds her. Albanese’s current project As Above So Below investigates the unique relationship between person and land in the quest to live holistically amongst economic, ecological, and social challenges.
