Portrait of a Sheep
This sheep lady approached me on my way to a beach on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. It seemed that she really wanted to pose for this photo.

About Artist
Jens Winkler
Born in East Germany, I became fascinated by the art of photography very early in my life. Before turning 18 years old, I already had my own camera and laboratory, enabling me to control the whole process of creating photographs. For many years I worked with a large format film camera, concentrating mainly on color landscape photography. Later, I became more interested in fine art black & white photography, as this can create very unique images, that stand out from the mass of photos that we are bombarded with in everyday life. I still like landscapes a lot, but have also worked on architecture images more and more. I now use a medium format digital camera for shooting my photos and I own a big printer, so that I am still able to control all steps of creation myself, up to the final printed result. Despite my huge interest in photography, I have never made this a profession. I enjoy being completely free in what I do in my photographic projects. I have been living in the outskirts of Munich for many years, and I enjoy shooting in the surroundings here and wherever I travel.
