Camillo Pasquarelli (b.1988, Italy) is deeply inspired by his education in Anthropology to lead visual investigations whose purposes are more sensitive than scientific ones and based on long-term immersion in social contexts.
In 2020 he was among the artists selected for the FOAM Talent and, in the same year, he was selected by CAMERA - Centro Italiano Per La Fotografia for the “Futures” program.
In December 2020, he released "Monsoons never cross the mountains" (Witty Books) a book about his long-term research on the Kashmir issue.
Among the prizes received is Shortlist at PH Museum Grant, Best Rising Talent at Gomma Grant, Alexia Foundation Student Grant, 1° Price LensCulture B&W, Shortlist Unseen Dummy Award, and Fotoleggendo Award.
He participated in several exhibitions as FOAM Museum (Amsterdam, 2021), Royal Photographic Society (Bristol, 2020), Unseen (Amsterdam, 2019), Aperture Gallery (New York, 2019), CAMERA (Turin, 2021), Head On Photo (Sydney, 2019), Format Festival (Derby, 2019)
