What have they done to the sea?
In May I went on a trip to a seaside resort. While I was taking some photos of the sea, I noticed an offshore wind farm in the distance. I sighed with disappointment: What have they done to the sea? At home, I edited the photo to make the view look as unnatural as what I had seen.
About Artist
Magdalena Jóźwiak
I have been passionate about photography and poetry for over 25 years. My works have been exhibited both in solo and group exhibitions, and some have been honoured in various photo competitions, for example in Monochrome Awards 2025 (Second Place Winner in the Photomanipulation category). Earlier the same year, I was awarded a literary scholarship by the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship (Poland), which enabled me to complete my literary project and publish the first volume of my poetry. In 2025, I also successfully completed a three-year course in photography, graduating with distinction from the Photography School of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (Studium ZPAF) in Warsaw. As part of my diploma project, I self-published my album "Fotosłowie" – combining my poetry and photography, and designed a spatial game. In April 2026, I became an official member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. Recently, my entry "Chopin's Swallows" received an Honorable Mention in the reFocus Black & White Photo Contest (Conceptual).
