Jeffrey Abrahams is a San Francisco Bay Area photographer with a passion for still life and street photography. A graduate of the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop, he worked as a writer for 45 years--including positions as a staff writer for the Los Angeles Tines and Oakland Tribune among other newspapers where he shot his own photos for his stories and columns. At the age of 50 he started shooting digitally. "I can express myself wth a camera far better than I can with words. Plus, photography is the purest form of 'play' I've enjoyed since I was a boy growing up in the midwest." His work has been shown in galleries in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Tucson, Portland, and Cincinnati.
