About Artist

Erica Tamburo

Erica Tamburo is a multiple-exposure photographer whose flower portraits are as vibrant and complex as she is. A true multi-passionate, she is known as many things: photographer, engineer, artist, researcher, painter, farmgirl, writer, leader, and mindfulness practitioner. Her pieces are layered, surprising and engaging, encouraging exploration and contemplation. Her process relies on intuition, experimentation, and trust. Finding her unique voice has been the artist’s greatest achievement, and she delights in spending her time evolving her distinctive language and deciding what to say next. Growing up on a farm in Ohio nurtured Erica’s love of nature, of things that grow, and the natural elements. Moving to Pittsburgh in 1998, she carried that with her while her parallel careers in medical imaging and photography grew alongside each other. Her lifelong challenge is finding balance between her artistic and technical inclinations.
