Underworld

The combination of crystal clear waters, corals that look like real gardens and the perfect waves, with lots of marine life around, makes the Maldives a perfect destination for underwater photography. Added to this are the coconut trees on the seashore, which appear to be floating on the water.

About Artist

Gustavo Jacob

Gustavo Jacob is an architect and a surfer at heart. This mix of interests makes him a photographer passionate about seascapes, always attentive to the smallest technical details that make up his art. Born in São Paulo, but always in love with Ubatuba, Jacob grew up surrounded by the lavish nature of the Atlantic rainforest. Currently, he lives on the paradisiacal beach of Itamambuca, a place of extreme relevance for the development of his works. Guga pursues wild and isolated places. He is always in search of solitude, waves and deep contact with nature. His photographs capture remarkable moments at sea. Its intention is to raise awareness among people, so that through these moments, there is awareness of the importance of preserving our oceans.
