ALEJANDRO SOTOMAYOR (Lebu, Chile, 1972) is a photographer and self-taught web developer. His photographic work addresses humanist issues with special emphasis on poverty, inequality, and climate crisis; and his management led him to found Caption Magazine in 2019, a bimonthly publication about photography. He has developed projects such as "Ritmografías" with funding from the Universidad Austral de Chile and "Rostros del Trabajo" with the cultural grant of the City Council of Valdivia. He has participated as a contributor to books, magazines, newspapers, and scientific publications, in meetings, fairs, and the charity RESPECT CLG in Ireland and the DOCTRID Institute in Europe. He currently works as a freelance photographer and is the Director of the magazine and editorial project of photographic CAPTION Magazine.
