About Artist

Maartje Hamers

Maartje Hamers (b.1981) is a photographer based in the Netherlands, graduated from Fotoacademie Amsterdam in May 2025. Her work is heavily influenced by her background in Earth Sciences and microscopy. She is fascinated by textures, details and shapes. Time, scale and the Earth are recurring themes in her work.
