Born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Jim knew from an early age that art was his calling. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts (formerly Southeastern Massachusetts University). Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious National Society of Illustrators Award, presented at the Norman Rockwell Museum in New York City.
