About Artist

Thomas Brummett

Thomas Brummett has been working as a fine art photographer since mid 1980's after he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has been a College Professor, Art Curator and he is still a Father & Dog Daddy. For his life long series "Re-Thinking the Natural" his work has been honored both nationally and internationally. Nationally he has been honored as one of the best photographers in America in the hardbound annual American Photography #11, #12, #23, #28 #30 and #38. In 2008 and 2014 his work was honored best in the world by the World Photography Awards. In 2004, 2009 & 2012 he was also honored by the International Photography Awards (IPA). In 2020 he was honored in France when the French postal system made a stamp out of Infinities #3 and included him in the museum exhibition "Dreaming the Universe" He has had two museum exhibitions; In 2023 at the Alfred Ehrhardt Foundation in Berlin. and the Pfalzgalerie Kaiserslautern, Germany Museum Collections: The Museum of Moderm Art in Rio de Janeiro The Philadelphia Museum of Art The Museum of Fine Arts Houston Cranbook Museum of Art
