Carlo Cozzoli is an Italian photographer born in Milan in 1993. He started his career as a professional photographer in 2014. In 2019, he joined the international press agency LaPresse, and since 2020, he has been collaborating with the Fotogramma agency in Milan. His works in photojournalism focus on documenting humanitarian crises and conflicts. Throughout his career, he reported on the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic crisis in Lebanon, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, protests against pension reforms in France, and the flooding in Emilia Romagna. His work has been published by major national and international outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Die Zeit, Washington Post, Sky News, The Guardian, L’Espresso, Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, La Stampa, and LifeGate. In 2023, he won the “Vergani 2023 Journalist of the Year Award” in the photography category with a report on the mental health of healthcare workers following the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic. Carlo Cozzoli in 2024 had the opportunity to document the civil war in Myanmar, one of the most inaccessible places on the planet, far from the media spotlight.
