I’m Padraig and I’m a Dublin based Pet Photographer. The images I create merge fine art with your beloved pet. In 2019 I stepped away from my career testing software and became a full time parent to my two young kids. During this time I worked on establishing my photography business - the aim to have a career doing something I really love, whilst having a better work life balance. I plan to start the business in 2024. Why photography and why pets? Growing up I always enjoyed taking photos and was generally the unofficial family ‘photographer’. On our family farm I was surrounded by animals including our much loved sheep dogs. That love for animals has always remained strong. My photography style is very much borne from the fact I’m colour blind. I’ve an inability to correctly see many colours and don’t see certain colours at all. Working in black and white allows me to focus entirely on the subject and composition. Everyday millions of photos are taken. Most are quick snaps which live forever on a phone until one day they’re lost. I create images to adorn your walls. At the heart of the image is your pet, captured in a way to make a standout piece of wall art.
