Barney started in photography some 30 years ago at a young age by being gifted his loving Grandfathers 1959 Nikon F. Shooting film with a fully mechanical manual camera allowed for the visceral and intimate connection with the environment and the photography process, which he continues to carry through his photography journey shooting with digital and film. Barney is also a sustainability guru, creating environmental change through utilizing social, political and economic forces. He recently completed a Bachelor of Sustainability, and he incorporates sustainability into his photographic expression and processes. “I hope you connect to my images and feel the raw beauty and energy of the world that I do when capturing them.
