About Artist
Deborah Cole
Deborah Cole is a photographer and writer currently living in Mexico. She regularly contributes articles, images, and an occasional cover photo to Street Photography Magazine. She shares her journey as an author and photographer on podcasts focusing on women’s life journeys and photography. Her images have been recognized in juried shows in Austin, Houston, Dallas, and, most recently, in New York City. Her images are also exhibited in a private gallery in Puerto Vallarta. She also serves on the board of the Vallarta School for Girls and provides support for the new photography program established in 2024. When she's not behind a camera, she's writing and teaching. Her focus on women's empowerment takes her to various platforms across the U.S. Her book "SHE: Believed She Could So She Did" (featuring her text and photos) was released in January 2022, and her recent book "Black Women in Business: Journeys in Resilience" (featuring her text and photos) was launched in January 2023. Her current photography projects include a long-term project on the evolving world for women in Mexico as they navigate a changing culture and the vanishing world of Adobe craftsmen.
