About Artist
Mathilde Vey
I'm a 28-year-old photographer based in Paris, born and raised in the Burgundy countryside. I specialized in cinematic-style street photography and using it as a creative outlet to capture memories and suggest introspective experience. My work resides at the intersection of creative photography and documentary storytelling, often influenced by journeys throughout France and around the world. One of my favorite subject is solitude, both as an experience of vertigo and as a pure necessity: in a hyperconnected world and a society in which we primarily find our place within the collective, returning to oneself is essential in the quest for truth and freedom. Inspired by my love for cinema, photography is for me a privileged means to reconcile with reality and life in its most trivial aspects. Passersby become the protagonists of my own narrative. Join me on a journey through my lens !
