Over the decades of a tree's life, the good and bad times are reflected in the lifelines in the bark - just like the wrinkles in the faces of old people. The entire process of image creation runs analogously. Photographs are taken on black and white negative film in 35 mm.

About Artist
Joachim Kakau
I've been taking analog photos since I was 16 - mostly black and white and with my own lab right from the start. The focus of my work is the representation of the abstract - often from nature - the focus on forms and structures that the eye and thoughts can glide along. It's often the small details that have a big impact. In addition, there are aesthetically attractive landscapes and cityscapes.
