About Artist

Robert Crawford

My name is Robert Carl Crawford II, but I go by Robert Pierre artistically. I'm from Bullock County, Alabama; apart from a Bird Dog statue and a city called Union Springs that we pronounce "Union Sprangs," there is nothing remotely exciting about the county. Yet, ironically, I found my rather mundane environment to be the place that sparked my appreciation for nature, color, and acceptance of experimental and ultramodern concepts. The things I had come to appreciate eventually led me to become an artist, specifically a photographer, and more notably, characterized my artistic style. I enjoy photographing people, things, and objects that may evoke curiosity from the audience to understand the piece beyond the frame displaying it.
