About Artist

Roy Pope

I work for Chandler-Gilbert Community College, as a Media Producer/Photographer, additionally, I teach film photography during the evening as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Communications and Fine Arts Division. My addiction and my appreciation of film comes from the prolonged concentration that is inherent in photography. As I set up my camera, make my photographs, create my prints, and by working in my darkroom, I find that this experience and focused concentration within myself provides an inherent sense of euphoria. My photographs are my reaction and emotional interpretation of my subject. My love of photography comes from just being out there making my photographs. Life doesn't get much better than that.
