Everyone has their own journey and a story to tell. This is my journey, and this is my story. I was born in Gorizia in 1971 and I lived between the sea and the mountains in a place where contact with nature was easy. Since I was a child I have shown a certain sensitivity and artistic ability, which was expressed in drawing and painting. Leafing through books I was captured by the images of exotic places, by the tales of explorers and fantastic worlds. Visiting the museums I was fascinated by the skill and mastery with which those works were created, harboring the desire to one day be able to give shape to something similar. With these feelings I faced an education. In Milan I graduated in business administration, later carrying out the role of financial analyst with commitment and satisfaction. Yet something was wrong, through the numbers I could not express myself completely. The romantic side was lost, and it was someone else's numbers. I didn't like being a spectator, I wanted to play too. I quit my job and started dedicating myself to photography. It wasn't something new. From the time of university I photographed mainly for the purpose of "recording" the places I visited, the people I liked and the most important moments of my life, but I was beginning to look at lights and shapes differently. In 2008 I moved to Tuscany, where I was lucky enough to meet Maestro Franco Fontana, whose words I often remember with ever new meanings. From that moment on, I started my personal research. I live in the region of the marble quarries of Massa-Carrara, near Pietrasanta, a city where works by the most renowned international artists are exhibited throughout the year. My photos also want to pay homage to this wonderful territory.
