About Artist
Andrew Pounder
Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK), I am coming relatively late to fine art photography, having spent most of my adult career within Information Technology and Cyber Security. I enjoy creating HDR, monochrome, landscape and still-life compositions and anything else that catches my eye. My portfolio site reflects this wide array of different content presentations, and looking forward to conversations with art galleries on potential representation and exhibitions. Achievements-to-date include an article published online in ArtDoc Photography Magazine (called Two-Tone Toon), an honorable mention (street category) in refocus awards 2024, an honourable mention (Wildlife category) in refocus awards and an honourable mention in the 2023 B&W Awards. I'm currently working on content within my native Northeast of England, including a monochrome street / documentary photography project around subjects in Newcastle Upon Tyne, online exhibition gallery, and collaboration with Snap Collective publisher for an associated coffee table photography book (currently in early stages of pre-publication, with target date of pre-orders being September 2024!). I have a new (free) online exhibition gallery that is a companion to the Two Tone Toon photography book, displaying a select number of images from the book as individual pieces of wall art, and can be viewed here: https://art-photography.uk/exhibition
