Born in 1988, Alessandro graduated in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Milan in 2007 and in Media at the University of Westminster in London in 2011.
From 2012 to 2018, he documented the main contemporary conflicts and wars by publishing for international newspapers such as The Telegraph, The Guardian, The New York Times, Newsweek, GEO, Der Spiegel, Al Jazeera, Corriere della Sera, RAI News and Getty Images. His reportages have been awarded, among others, by the Royal Photographic Society, the Royal Geographical Society, the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, and the Lodi Ethical Photography Festival.
Since 2018, he has been sailing solo for a few months a year aboard a small and historic sailing boat, Tales of the Sea, to shoot a photographic documentary on the underwater world and the underwater beauties of the Mediterranean Sea. In 2019, he was among the finalists of the prestigious global award for professional achievements of the British Council.
In 2023, he specialized at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) in Digital Transformation to offer cutting-edge services in communication and digital strategy consultancy, having already worked at CRIMEDIM - research centre in Disaster Medicine affiliated to the World Organization of Healthcare - and at OBR Architetti, in the heart of Milan Brera. Currently Alessandro serves as public official for public engagement at the Polytechnic University of Milano.
