About Artist
Konrad Weeber
Konrad is an avid outdoors person roaming the great outdoors of the Northeast out of his home in Saratoga Springs, NY. His photography follows the light to capture landscape and scenery, as well as the exhilaration of sports such as thoroughbred racing, rowing, and alpine skiing. For his portrait and event photography he also prefers outdoor settings. In his sports photography Konrad excels in capturing motion and enjoys freezing the moments of exertion, but also the effort that is required to prepare for competition. Based on his own experience as a distance runner he captures the experience of “flow” in his photography, the feeling of weightlessness and effortless when an athlete hits the stride just right. In equine photography he takes the viewers behind the scenes of horseracing and allows them to experience the daily passion in the work of horse people at backstretches, training tracks and horse barns. The goal in his photography is to capture the poetry in motion of horses in flight, the intersection of sunlight and athleticism, and the caring passion of riders and caretakers for the equines in their charge. Konrad’s photography has been featured in numerous sports and travel magazines.
