Whilst travelling in the Weddell Sea on a 9 week expedition, one day we were surrounded by Crabeater seals around the bow of our ship asleep in the broken ice. Their heads would bob up from beneath for a longer breath, and then disappear again - the delightful sound of snoring seals filled the air.
