Marie Frankel is a Johannesburg, South Africa based photographer whose life and work have taken her across the Americas, Europe, and throughout the African continent.
A conservationist at heart Marie has been active in wildlife conservation including the opening of her land adjoining South Africa’s Kruger National Park to provide new grazing areas and resources for the Parks wildlife. She has been involved in the preservation of African rhinos, and the development and promotion of eco-learning programs and responsible eco-tourism.
This has offered Marie a broad and well informed understanding of the fragility of nature and the value of those moments in which it exists in unadulterated purity.
This is the essence of Marie Frankel’s work, photographing the wildlife she helps preserve, celebrating moments filled with the beauty, power and exhilaration of animals living in their natural environment, unaffected by humanity.
This work is a valuable reminder of what should, and can be.
When she is not traveling the globe, Marie shares her time between Johannesburg and the Greater Kruger Park in South Africa.
Marie conducts private Photographic Workshops, Tours & Masterclasses
