An Emotional Return to Mozambique
The HIV/AIDS pandemic is ravaging Mozambique. In 2018, I went back to Chokwe. I used my camera to document changes. While the Rural Hospital was the same, another separate structure had been added to exclusively treat HIV/AIDS and TB. Desiite odds life continue as children are skilfully delivered.

Dr Ezio “Gianni” Murzi is a well-traveled medical doctor who has been working for UNICEF for nearly 20 years in Burkina Faso, Iraq, New York Headquarters, Eastern Europe, and other countries in West Africa. After retirement, Gianni turned photographer and, after attending a workshop run by John Stanmeyer and Anush Babajanyan in Istanbul, into a passionate documentary photographer and storyteller.
