Cloud Story

This little estuary caught my eye on a road trip many years ago. It was silent, still and cloudless, a vision of perfect minimalism. Years later, I rediscovered it on a moody day, transformed by wind and rain and scudding clouds, and I fell in love with it all over again.

About Artist

Tanya Ogilvie-White

I'm a photographer and artist from Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, Australia. In 2016-17 I took a year-long photography sabbatical in the Australian bush and outback, which led me to launch a second career that blends technology and artistry, photography and painting, art and politics. My fine art photographs have since been acquired by the Natural History Museum in the UK and by Coff’s Regional Gallery in Australia, and my photo encaustics (photographs embedded in pigments and layers of hot wax) are in private collections in Australia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and US. I have used my art to express my eco-grief and draw attention to the climate crisis. You can read about it here: https://artbusinessnews.com/2020/02/painting-australias-bushfires-eco-grief-artivism/ My work can be seen on the following online platforms: Website www.scorchingskiesart.com Instagram: /scorchingskiesart and/scorchingskiesfutures X: @artscorching Saatchiart: Tanya Ogilvie-White Art Awards & Recognition The Facet Prize, 2023 Exhibition Finalist, Toowoomba, for ‘Nightfall’ (triptych).
