About Artist

Philippe Roberge

Following a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts (BFA), I started working in the film industry while making my own movies. I wrote and directed four short films, which went on to win prizes in different festivals around the world. I worked for the next 20 years as a director, conceptual designer and art director on various projects ranging from short films to feature films to corporate videos. I started taking pictures at a time when there were no digital cameras. This allowed me to learn the importance of framing a photo before pushing the button. Back then; I couldn’t afford to buy a lot of film, so I made sure that every picture I took could be used and was perfectly framed.
