This small island is located in Deer Lake in Northern Michigan. I captured it just as the sun was coming up and its shadow cast through the early fall mist.

Beautiful fall colors over a small lake in Northern Michigan. The shallow bottom of this lake provides a nice contrast with the blazing Autumn trees.

A composite image of the April 8th, 2024 solar eclipse captured in Montreal, Quebec. I took photos of the eclipse as it happened over approximately 4 hours and then composited together. The underlying photo was taken just before totality.

Eclipse Over The Montreal Biosphere

Sunrise late fall on the Carp River in Upper Michigan. It was the first frost of the year and the frost had tinted the brush around the stream giving it a frosted color. The sun caught in the highlights of the fall trees that were just past their peak.

Opal Eye

A beautiful Aurora storm from late March 2023. Marquette has a very distinct red light house and the colors from the lighthouse were well complimented by the reds and purples of the aurora.

Shadows of skeletal trees cast over the fall tinted moss of a northern swamp.
