Bio
Born in a small mid-western town in the US I have always been a rural girl at heart with a great love for animals, open spaces and nature. After earning my degree in Fine Art from Universities in Minnesota, life landed me working and living in large cities for the bulk of my career. I worked for US corporations in Phoenix, Hong Kong, London, and Los Angeles from 1990 to 2006. Fast forward to today, and a much slower way of life, remote Arizona is home. Living on a small ranch surrounded by over a million acres of national forest, wilderness, and wildlife I am fortunate to be able to spend my time photographing what brings me the most joy … horses, and nature. I am a fine art photographer specializing in equine and Western photography. I have traveled throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico photographing wild horses in their natural habitats. Living in Arizona puts me in close proximity to some of the largest working ranches in the West, where I have had the honor of spending time photographing ranch life. My work has received international photo and art awards, including the Siena International Photo Awards, Moscow International Photo Awards, PX3 Paris International Photo Awards, ReFocus Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, Tokyo International Photo Awards. I have been awarded #1 Black & White Photographer in the United States 2021 and #3 Black & White Photographer 2021 in the World by One Eyeland. One Eyeland B&W Awards.
