"I am drawn to images, visual stimuli make a deep impression. I like to look at images, artworks, the sky, people’s faces, or the way light and shadow can gently slide into the room. At some point, I felt that words couldn’t express to a full extent what I observed. Either I tried to explain too much or perhaps not enough. My photography is mainly in black and white. I feel it strengthens the focus and leaves the observation somehow timeless". Andréa Lobel lives and works in the Netherlands. She is partially educated at the Academy for Photography and the School of Arts and Design. Her photographic work has been exhibited and published internationally. Her work is part of the permanent collection of Gallery Espace Vision 'Art in Paris, France.
