Yamakasa
The Hakata Gion Yamakasa is a festival celebrated in the 1st half of July in Fukuoka City, the largest city in Japan’s southwestern island of Kyushu. Several teams of men would race around the city before the break of dawn, carrying one-ton wooden floats known as the Kakiyama.

Chin Leong Teo
Chin Leong is a Singapore national who has lived and worked in countries as diverse as the United States, Saudi Arabia, China, Indonesia and Japan. This globetrotting experience has created a desire in him to connect the different cultures of the world through photography and the visual arts.
