Towards the Sun
A contemplative series exploring patience, resilience, and quiet strength. Inspired by the principles of Ikebana, the photographs reveal how light and stillness can transform fragile forms into enduring gestures of grace.
About Artist
Jason Sharpe
Jason Sharpe is an American artist and creative director who has lived and worked in Norway since 2010. His background spans the music and fashion industries, where he developed a visual language rooted in rhythm, composition, and restraint. Before turning to photography, he spent fourteen years in New York and Paris, producing creative work for international publications and clients including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, i-D, Numéro, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Ferragamo, and Oscar de la Renta. After relocating to Norway, his focus gradually shifted toward slower, more contemplative image-making — a practice grounded in light, patience, and precision. Sharpe’s photographic work will be presented at several upcoming exhibitions, including the Salon International d’Art Contemporain (Brussels, November 2025), Paris Art Expo (December 2025), Glockenbachviertel Art Event (Munich, December 2025), and the International Contemporary Art Fair (Milan, April 2026). He lives and works in Hovden, southern Norway, where this series is being photographed.
