The Waiting Man
A study in suspended tension, where light and shadow carve out a psychological rather than physical space. The figure, veiled in impenetrable obscurity, is reduced from an individual to a silent archetype - a cipher standing on a monolithic concrete stage where time appears arrested.
About Artist
Piotr Myszkowski
Hi! My name is Piotr Myszkowski and I have been photographing for 18 years. I run my own photo and film production company based in Poland. In my spare time I devote myself to meditation and I try to draw as much positive energy as possible from life. I believe that the most important thing in life is to do what you love, so one day I have decided to put all my eggs in one basket and make photography my full-time job. Not only has photography become my job, but also a way of seeing the world in my own way. I love to pursue interesting, controversial topics that each time give rise to new artistic challenges. I love to exceed the limits of my imagination and think ‘the sky is the limit’, what also translates into my projects. I love topics where I can let my imagination run wild, where I can do something that no one has ever done before. It’ s very fulfilling. I am a perfectionist with a strong attention to details. I am a self-taught person and I believe that people learn best through continuous self-improvement by the creation of new projects. I've always been perceived by my friends as a one-man band, who can make something out of nothing. Till now, I have collaborated with many celebrities, worked for prestigious companies, and had my photos published in many magazines, such as Forbes, Newsweek, Elle or National Geographic. My photographs have been awarded the first prize in 2017, second prize in 2018 and third prize in 2020 in the international competition Prix de La Photographie Paris. I have also won the second and third place in the Moscow International Photo Awards 2017.
