Nazanin Hafez (born 1991 in Shiraz, Iran) is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker based between Iran and Germany. In her artistic practice, she critically engages with social and political injustices, particularly focusing on the impacts of the repressive regime in Iran. She investigates the representation of violence and its human consequences, examining the complex relationships between perpetrators, witnesses, and victims. Through her work, she seeks to navigate the ethical and visual boundaries of depicting trauma and violence, while maintaining an empathetic and dignified approach to these sensitive subject matters.
