Stay With Me
There are many ways to interpret the scene presented by these flowers, but I see a being desperately holding on to another that seems to be slipping away
About Artist
Vicki Wert
Vicki Wert's interest in photography began in the 1970's when she was given her first film SLR camera, an Olympus OM-1. She started out mainly photographing family events and holidays, but was soon drawn to outdoor subjects such as landscapes, wildlife, and close-up photography. Vicki enjoys photographing most subjects, but particularly loves floral and other macro photography. Public gardens near and far are favorites for subject matter, but she also finds her own garden to be inspirational and photographs her flowers most days during the summer. She’s been an active member of the Cleveland Photographic Society since 2010, where she’s a former treasurer and board member, and is a long-time instructor in the club’s Photoshop Editing Course. She has taken part in photo competitions since joining the club and is honored to have been awarded 11 perfect scores. She’s also a previous Photographer of the Year. Vicki’s work has been exhibited in numerous locations over the years in the Greater Cleveland area. She also enjoyed having a solo exhibit in late 2024 at the Center for Artful Living in Westlake, Ohio. In recent years, she has competed on the world stage and has had several awarded images in both the International Garden Photographer of the Year and the Close-Up Photographer of the Year competitions.
