Sands of History
I wanted to capture the scale and geometry of the pyramids with the lone rider as a human presence and a flock of birds, perfectly balancing motion with the stillness of the pyramids. I left part of the pyramid outside the frame for the viewer to feel their enormity rather than simply observe it.
About Artist
Agniva Kolay
I am a photographer based in Bangalore, and my work spans wildlife, travel, aerial, street, and underwater photography. As a self-taught photographer, I am drawn to moments where simplicity, geometry, and emotion come together through minimalist compositions and the use of negative space. Through extensive travel and exploration, I document both natural and human environments with a focus on form, relationships, and scale. Influenced by both painting and documentary photography, I approach my images as an intersection of art and observation, using photography not just to document a scene, but to reinterpret it through form, atmosphere, and perspective.
