Inversion

The image transforms the body into geometry, where balance replaces narrative and tension defines form. Stripped of identity and context the figure exists as line and contrast, suspended between gravity and control, inviting a quiet reconsideration of orientation and space.

About Artist

Luis Gaspar

I was born in the Azores, Portugal. During my teen age years I become interested in photography, I learned how to develop black and white film and started to print my own photos. Growing up I had a love for airplanes and decided to pursue a career as a professional pilot. Because of the demands of a family and life as an airline pilot, my involvement with photography died quite a bit with only rare and short periods dedicated to any serious photo activity. Now retired I finally have the time to return to the hobby that I always loved. During the last three years I have been involved in the photographic community, actively photo shooting and trying to further develop my photographic skills.
