Maud Delaflotte is a french documentary photographer. She photographs communities, seeking to explore cultural and economic realities that are difficult to access. Her objective is to shed light on the codes and values that define what it is to belong to minority groups. This theme has driven several media photo reports. She has documented the quest for identity recognition among Native Americans, the world of Nigerian billionaires, the different facets of French identity, as well as the daily struggle of Saudi women for emancipation. Her latest report examines the visible and invisible legacies of slavery through the lens of cotton in Alabama. This work was exhibited at the “Les Femmes s’exposent” festival in France. She has worked for Figaro Magazine, Le Monde, Washington Post, Der Spiegel, Liberation. She was a finalist Women Photograph Grants 2024 and IWPA grant 2023. Winner Lens Culture Moment Vision 2025, Exhibition at Sienna Awards festival in 2025. In 2025, she became a TEDx speaker at a Conference in Berlin. In 2026, she will have an exhibition in Monaco as a finalist for the 2026 Environmental Photography Award by Fondation Prince Albert 2.
