About Artist
Christophe Vasselin
My passion for wildlife photography was born in 2003 after a trip to Tanzania. I had a real crush for this continent and the large natural landscape of Africa. I spent time perfecting my photography and increasing my knowledge of wildlife during several trips to different African countries such as Botswana, South Africa and Namibia, known, for their very rich fauna. In 2010, I made my first trip to the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo then in 2012 and 2013 to Rwanda to meet our cousins the gorillas. The discovery of this region was rich in emotion and aroused a real passion for this species that somewhat resembles us. From 2012, I started exploring Northern territories: Spitsbergen, Alaska, Norway. Since then, the Arctic regions have become my favorite terrain: polar bears, brown bears and musk oxen are exciting and very photogenic animals. During my many travels, I have become aware of the fragility of our planet, so I show the utmost respect for the environment while practicing this beautiful passion, photography.
