Gridlocked
Shot on a Nikon FM2/T 35mm film camera during a recent trip to Japan. This image to me evoked a strange relationship to purpose. This man, stands guard, over and empty room high in the sky over the busting city of Tokyo. True to his duty, the city never felt safer.
About Artist
Wesley Campbell
My work as a photographer has been shaped by curiosity, restraint, and an enduring respect for the present moment. With over eight years of experience across travel, adventure storytelling, and live events, I have approached each frame as an opportunity to observe more deeply. My passion for film photography grounds me in the process; film slows really slows me down, demands intention and forces me to be measured, observant, and rooted in a genuine connection to my surroundings. Through this mindful practice, I create imagery that feels both honest and quietly cinematic, capturing not just what I see, but the atmosphere and emotion that surround it.
