Flowing Geometry
These monochrome compositions transform the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf in Germany into a landscape of flowing geometry, where light and shadow sculpt surfaces into almost impossible forms. Rigid concrete appears soft, walls bend like fabric, and windows become quiet interruptions.
About Artist
Michael Jurek
Although I live close to Hanover, Germany, most of my free time Im on the road and sometimes I even travel to the most remote parts of the world. I guess you can say, photography has become a great passion of mine in the last 15 years and now I am totally into it. My work covers a wide range of areas, but I am particularly passionate about abstract and minimalist photography, as well as nature and architecture photography. Being moved by the awe, inspiring and wonderful natural environment, I make a point of capturing the best spots I go to along with the people who, through their unique characteristics, actually take ownership of their hometowns. Then through my Canon camera, I try to capture those moments so that any person who is looking at my photos becomes a travel companion for a moment. I have been lucky to have my photography published in different magazines, and I was shortlisted and nominated in several international photo competition around the globe.
