Crossing Red
A fleeting moment on the Tokyo asphalt, where human movement dissolves into geometric abstraction. Through a strict palette of red, black, and white, the ordinary rhythm of a crosswalk is transformed into a minimalist dance of color and line.
About Artist
Rei Hirayama
I photograph the light of the city, seeking the quiet moments of drama hidden within everyday life. Subtle reflections, long shadows and fleeting highlights reveal traces of human presence and solitude — moments that often disappear before anyone notices. My work stands on two pillars: intense color and tranquil shadow. Through these elements, I aim to present the multifaceted expressions of urban light in their most honest and distilled form. I primarily work with Leica M11-P Leica SL2-S, moving between different ways of seeing and sensing space.
